Solutions Summit: A Series of Conversations on Means and Needs

The Players Alliance recently held our inaugural Solutions Summit hosted by Atlanta Braves in partnership with MLB. The event focused on HBCU Baseball and included a roundtable discussion with coaches and staff representing baseball programs from 10 Historically Black Colleges and Universities. It was an incredible opportunity to hear firsthand the barriers these beloved institutions face.

Amplifying Black voices is the foundation of our mission. This event series focuses on creating equity and access for community groups, small businesses and advocacy groups in under served neighborhoods across the country.

Launched at All-Star Denver, the Players Alliance hosted a prestigious event at a local Black-owned restaurant in historic Five Points. Known in the early 20th century as the “Harlem of the West,” Five Points remains the perfect backdrop at the intersection of Black history and culture, setting the stage for this monumental night of conversation, networking, and community impact.

The cocktails and conversations format event was moderated by two-time All-Star and MLB Network Lead Studio Analyst Harold Reynolds, AMPLIFIED featured a six-person panel engaging in open, honest dialogue, utilizing the Alliance’s platform to connect city and state leaders directly with members of their communities.
